ARCO – Art, Research and Creation Opus 2025 – is a binational university dedicated to musical creation, association between the Mozarteum University Salzburg, Gmem-Marseille (one of the French National Center of Musical Creation) and French ensembles : Multilaterale and Les Métaboles.
From July 2nd to July 12th 2025 at GMEM Marseille, there will be a succession of individual meetings, rehearsals, conferences, workshops, seminars as well as improvisation sessions and work on gesture, movement and displacement.
The week will be punctuated by several concerts – at the GMEM and around Marseille – giving a festival dimension to the academy.
Vocal Caching
With the presence of the Ensemble Vocal Les Métaboles, Léo Warynski and Valérie Philippin, ARCo is expanding and opening up to singers. In the same way as the composers, the students will be immersed in musical creation through conferences, workshops and coaching.
This workshop will focus on vocal chamber music (spoken voice, singing voice) as well as personal technical, musical work and improvisation. It is aimed both at singers who would like to approach the contemporary vocal repertoire for the first time or who would like to deepen their knowledge of it.
